Like most authors, I love words. I love stories. I love capturing human emotions, both the basic and the chaotic, and wrestling them into a fictional, fantastical existence. My novels are predominately fantasy and speculative fiction for adult, young adult, and middle grade readers, but I also enjoy writing literary short fiction.
I have a background in marketing and public relations, but I’ve left the 9-5 life for one of chasing around a very active toddler and writing during those precious little moments she’s asleep. Aside from writing, my family and I love to travel and experience living in the great wide world around us. When we’re not carting ourselves off to our next destination, we live in Baltimore, MD with the rats and our big, gray tabby-cat Scout who keeps the aforementioned rats away.
